Blog Journal 5 (Online)

While working on the Web Design assignment, I gained new skills in layout organization and color theory that helped make my website more engaging and intuitive. I used bold colors for headers to create contrast, making the page easy to scan and each section distinct. I also ensured the alignment lined up to create a polished look and improve readability. I enjoyed the creative aspects of the assignment, especially choosing the colorful headers, the color scheme, and the fonts. In the future, web design skills will be valuable in creating digital resources and personal portfolios. If I ever need to design an educational blog or create resources for classroom activities, these skills will help me develop visually appealing, user-friendly web content.

A creative way I might use QR codes in my classroom is to set up a "QR Code Scavenger Hunt" for interactive learning. I could place QR codes around the room or school that link to videos, photos, and facts about different ecosystems, animals, and plants. Each code could contain clues that guide students to the next location, making the activity engaging and informative. This scavenger hunt encourages movement, curiosity, and exploration while reinforcing key concepts. At the end of the scavenger hunt, I could provide a QR code with a mini quiz that will be used to check for understanding.

In a case study involving a teacher using AI grading software, the software's algorithm sometimes incorrectly marks students' responses. To address this, I would propose using the software as a tool for initial feedback rather than as a final grading mechanism. This approach respects students' efforts by preventing the software from unfairly impacting their academic progress. I would also be transparent wit the students and parents about the role of AI in the grading process.

  1. I think your website is designed very well! I like the use of color and the fonts you chose. It looks very neat, is easy to navigate, and read.

  2. I love how easy to read everything on your website is! I also appreciate how directed at parents it is when it comes to content, considering that the students are young kids. The fonts make for a really nice and quick read, and the placement of links and the like make sense.
